October 3, 2014

Dear Friends,

Grace and peace be with you. It is with great joy and hope for our ministry together that I have accepted the call to be your rector. I am inspired by your energy for mission, your desire to reach out to the larger community, and your yearning for a deeper knowledge of our Lord. I rejoice in this moment that my voice joins in harmony with the music of St. Paul’s.

I would like to thank members of the Search Committee, the Vestry, and the Staff for their work, hospitality, and many conversations which have allowed me to begin to know the parish as a whole. My intention is to get to know you all as soon as I can. I hope to break bread—or at least drink coffee!—with each of you in the coming months.

My husband Steve and I look forward to making our home in Salem. He is an Oregon native, born in Hood River, and part of a family that once farmed in the Willamette Valley. We are going to drive from the Boston area, and will perhaps even follow a bit of the Oregon Trail along the way. We are looking forward to being with you very soon.
