The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in the St. Paul's parking lot this Friday, July 24th from 10am to 2:30pm .

Bilingual Service

July 26th

9am to 9:45am

This week will be our last Outside Church of the summer and our first bilingual service in Spanish and English! Rev. Karen Tiegs, the diocesan Latino Ministry Coordinator will be with us celebrating and preaching. All are invited to a family-friendly worship service outside to sit under the white oaks and feel the grass under your feet as we sing songs, hear scripture, pray and have Communion. We will gather from 9:00-9:45am on the High Street lawn across from Bush Park. Bring your blankets or camp chairs and a snack to share after the service! 3rd Annual Craft Faire

October 31st - November 1st

The 3rd Annual Craft Faire will be on Saturday, October 31, from 10 to 2 pm and Sunday, November 1st, from 9 am to 1 pm in Steinberg Hall. Our format will be different this year as we are opening it up to parishioners and friends who want to sell items they make. There will be a simple form to fill out and submit to the Craft Faire Committee indicating your interest in being a vendor. All vendors will pay a small table fee and keep their profits. The official Craft Faire form will be available electronically and in paper form on Friday, July 31st. For more information, please contact the Craft Faire Committee via email: craftfaire@stpaulsoregon.org .

All are invited to a family-friendly worship service outside each Sunday in the month of July. Come sit under the white oaks and feel the grass under your feet as we sing songs, hear scripture, pray and have Communion. We will gather from 9:00-9:45am on the High Street lawn across from Bush Park . Bring your blankets or camp chairs and a snack to share after the service! During the July 12th Eucharist we will celebrate the installation of Rev. Dawn Reynolds, as the new Chaplain for our Women of Hope Chapter, Daughters of the King. And the installation of Joan Hans Stafford as the Diocese of Western Oregon Daughters of the King Assembly President. Please join us in praying for them as they begin their new ministries. Everyone is warmly invited for a coffee and cake reception downstairs, at the conclusion of the service.

Knit, Pray, Crochet

Knit, Pray, Crochet's next monthly meeting is on Thursday, July 16 at 10 in room 108. Knitters, crocheters, and crafters of all levels are welcome to attend. Bring your current project and work while chatting and laughing with a supportive group. No project? We have plenty of yarn and guidance to get you started.

July 5th

Come pray for your country on her birthday! Walk the St. Paul's labyrinth on the Fourth of July weekend and ponder God's goodness. Lift up your heart to the Lord! The labyrinth will be available in the gym until 3pm on Sunday, July 5.

Craft Workshop

Casserole Carriers

July 6th

On July 6th, Michelle Wardrip will be leading a workshop on making casserole carriers. All supplies will be furnished. You will need a sewing machine, scissors, and thread. From 9:30 am to noon in room 108 . Sign-up will be on Sunday before and after the 10am service in the Narthex.

Who: All Acolytes, Acolyte parents, those interested in becoming Acolytes

Craft Workshop: Mod Podge a Bowl

June 27th

On June 27th , Michelle Wardrip will be leading a workshop on making Mod Podge bowls. This fun activity uses colorful paper napkins, a glass bowl, and Mod Podge to create a one-of-a kind gift. All supplies will be furnished. If you have a vase or other glass object you want to decorate, please bring it. If you can hold a paintbrush and have a bit of confidence, this is the workshop for you. This is a make one and take one workshop and is limited to 12 people. From 10 am to noon in the Parish Hall. Sign-up will be this Sunday before and after the 10 am service in the Narthex. For more information contact Michelle at: 503-510-9810 or michelle.wardrip@gmail.com .

September 26 – Join us for a workshop to make soup mixes. From 10 am to 1 pm in the Parish Hall and Commercial Kitchen.

October 24th – Join us for a workshop to make cookie, scone, and muffin mixes. From 10 am to 1 pm in the Parish Hall and Commercial Kitchen.

St. Paul's Arts and Rhythm for Kids Camp 2026

We are very excited for SPARK 2026: Morocco! There are more campers signed up than ever before and it is very important that we make it financially accessible for all families. The cost per camper is $150 for the week long day camp exploring the arts and culture of Morocco. Would you consider sponsoring a camper this summer? Church at the Park Tour

June 18th

Come see for yourself what Church at the Park is all about in action on June 18th. We will travel to the family site off Portland Rd. and see how this fantastic, successful nonprofit is helping the economically challenged begin anew. We will also see how the kitchen renovation is going next to the site in which St. Paul’s raised $34,000 for one of their ovens.

If you’d like to attend this tour, let Barb Leque know: tbamjk@gmail.com , 541-571-2075. We leave church in a C@P van at 1:00 and return at 2:45. It would be wonderful to show them our continued support!

Watercolor Magic

June 13th

The next Watercolor Magic class will be on Saturday June 13, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm in room 108. Bring a picture, photo, item or song you would like to paint. Bring your brushes and watercolors as pencils, cakes, or tubes to paint the things you want to paint. Paper and extra materials will be available for those without. There will be time to learn and time to explore. Contact: Joan at jesstafford60@gmail.com to reserve a seat. It's time to paint those pictures!

Pride Parade & Block Party

June 13th

St. Paul’s Pride, Salem Youth Collective, and Outreach/SJ ministries need your help and support! If you can carry the banner (for about 6 blocks) or face paint at the booth, please let Rob Owen, Amy Goerger or Barb Leque know; tbamjk@gmail.com .

SATURDAY JUNE 13th, 2026

12pm: PRIDE PARADE

Show off your colors as we parade through downtown Salem!

We’ll be starting at the Capitol Building and ending at the Block Party on Liberty Street.

We’re shutting down the streets so we’ll be able to have vehicles, motorcycles, bikes, roller skates, and walkers. Anyone who supports or is a part of the LGBTQ+ community is welcome to join in on the parade.

12-5pm: BLOCK PARTY

After the parade, we’re kicking off a celebration of Pride in downtown Salem. Find us on the two blocks of State Street between Liberty and Front for food, entertainment, tons of free activities, and more! Click here to sign up to help!

Logistics for the Pride Parade

We invite everybody to join St Paul’s in the Pride Parade on June 13th at 12pm.

Cott Thompson has generously offered his office parking lot to us at 270 Cottage St NE.
We will meet at the corner of Waverly and Court between 11:30-11:45. Wear your St Paul’s t-shirts!
The parade is about 1 mile and ends at the block party where St Paul’s will have a face painting booth.

Let us go out to love and serve the lord as a loving, affirming community and a safe place for all!

Pride Recognition Sunday

June 14th

An Announcement from Fr. Bob

We will soon celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Episcopal Church affirming that LGBTQ+ people have full and equal claim to the love, acceptance, and pastoral care of the church. While the journey is not yet over, the Pride Ministry gives us the opportunity to remember the struggles, celebrate the joy and give thanks for the love of God that binds us together and makes us one. We will take the opportunity to join with Episcopalians across our church in celebrating the sacred worth of the LGBTQ+ community with our 10 AM Eucharist Service on Pride Recognition Sunday, June 14 . The Rev. Dr. Gavin Shumate, Associate Priest, St. Stephen's Newport and St. Luke's Waldport will be our guest preacher. Please join us as we take this opportunity to stand against injustice and fear by proclaiming that LGTBQ+ people are beloved children of God and cherished members of the body of Christ and St. Paul’s.

Celebrating Marriage

June 14th

On Sunday, June 14th , Saint Paul's will celebrate the Episcopal Church's affirmation of the LGBTQ community. After the service, we will host a coffee hour celebrating the holy institution of marriage with a joyful version of "The Newlywed Game." To help us decorate and tell the story of marriage in our parish community, we invite you to share a favorite wedding photo (recent or decades old!) for display on our bulletin boards. All couples and all eras of Saint Paul’s marriages are warmly welcomed—your photos will help us honor the many ways love has flourished in our community. Please send digital copies to pride@stpaulsoregon.org by May 31. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

From the Property Committee

A big thank you to all the kind souls who showed up for Work Day last Saturday! We got a ton done inside and out. We filled a huge dumpster with broken and unused junk as well as weeds and limbs. Check out the new patio furniture that was all assembled and smell the newly oiled pews in the sanctuary and chapel. Several new shelves were built and new plants were planted.

St. Paul’s Outreach/Social Justice Ministry would like to show their gratitude for all of you who have shown compassion, your time, your treasure, and your love in shopping and delivering groceries to the migrant families we are helping who are separated from a loved one via deportation. Some of you have also graciously paid rent or energy bills as well as find resources for these families.

Thank you: Liz, Robin, Elizabeth, Hope, Amy D., Judy Q., Cindy, April, Julia, Sue, Candye, Carla, Becky, Ellen, Kelly, and Ashley. You are God’s angels!

Our sincere thanks for all of the wonderful support you have given to this thriving ministry! The supplies food and monetary donations make it possible for our parish to help so many people.

For the months of May and June we would like to focus on socks and new underwear both for men and women. We have been asked if the clothes donated need to be new. We usually say that everything is appreciated as long as it is clean and in good shape. This is a bit different with underwear. How wonderful it will be for our Monday Morning guests to find new undergarments purchased for them!
