Q: Why Flamingos?
A: Not only are the Flamingos tacky looking, they seem to make anyone who sees them smile! Plus they are pretty cheep and do not do damage to the property. Just think, we are aerating your lawn!
Q: What if I don’t want to be Flamingo’d?
A: Not a problem, just contact us on Sunday Mornings, visit the office during the week or call in 503-362-3661 to add your name to the Do Not Disturb list (DND).
Q: This seems like a prank or even extortion. Isn’t this teaching a bad lesson to our children?
A: We think the fun and enjoyment of this harmless “prank” brings joy to the people who are “flamingo’d.” People ask us to flamingo their houses and don’t feel extorted at all! Plus, we are asking for a donation, not requiring a payment to get them off the lawn. We make it a very clear rule to respect everyone’s property. Anyone can call and have them removed immediately.
Q: Can I just donate to the Youth Budget and not get insurance, add an address or buy tickets?
A: YES! We will take any and all types of donations!
Q: Do I have to give the suggested donation?
A: No, please think of our youth and their outreach and give whatever you feel in your heart that you can afford.
Q: Can I just get the Flamingos sent to my house?
A: Sure, just give us your address and we will get it on the list.
Q: Does the house have to be a St. Paul’s Parishioner? Does it have to be in Salem?
A: NO! Send them to anyone you know will appreciate supporting our cause! Address’ outside of Salem will be considered based on ability and distance. We can not guarantee that we will Flamingo a house outside Salem-Keizer.
Q: Will the houses be online like last year?
A: Yes, we will try to post the location a day before they arrive so you can drive by if you want or just track their progress! Visit the map
