EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY (EFM)

Do you have questions about your faith?

Join a group of parishioners as they read and study using the Education for Ministry study program developed by The University of the South, School of Theology.

Led by mentors Mary Forner and Amy Daraghy, this four-year program will help you connect your faith to daily life. Through reading, discussion, and directed theological reflection you are invited to ask all those difficult questions you’ve always wanted to ask. In once-a-week relaxed sessions, you will be able to build confidence in your Christian faith, expand your knowledge of the Bible and Christian literature, as well as develop deep relationships with your study group members. Mary Forner or 503-363-0551.

KNIT, PRAY, CROCHET

The Knit Pray, Crochet ministry meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in classroom 108. They donate the prayer shawls, baby blankets, and hats to Salem Hospital. They also give prayer shawls to members of St. Paul's who are in need. All are welcome to join in. All skill levels are welcome. Just bring a desire to knit or crochet for others.

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY
The morning men’s Bible study group meets every Wednesday morning from 8:00 am - 9:00 am for breakfast and Bible study. The group was established in the late 1970’s / early 1980’s and over the years has studied various books of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. Typically, the daily lesson covers one chapter of a biblical book. However, it will occasionally focus on a current religious book or publication. They often reference material from the Internet, St. Paul’s library, or popular or current religious publications. They rotate the lesson leadership weekly on a volunteer basis. Occasionally, guest speakers are invited to join the meetings.
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

The Women's Bible Study group meets every Tuesday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Room 108. The group determines the area of study and the facilitators vary from within. The Women's Bible Study has grown in popularity, so an evening group for working women is being considered for the fall.

You will meet women of faith who are intelligent, funny, interesting, and anything but boring. As they study they grow closer to God and to each other. Come, join on our journey exploring God's word. Please bring your curiosity. All are welcome!
