Acolytes

Acolyte Corps is a serving ministry of the Church that comes from ancient times with skillful men, women, boy and girls, who loved Christ and served God at the altar. Baptized members of St. Paul’s join the younger Acolytes by leading the procession and recession into and out of the sanctuary. Training occurs throughout the year with experienced acolytes taking on additional responsibilities such as carrying the cross, banners, and the Gospel book. They also help prepare the altar for communion.
