The Rev. Jim Young
The Reverend Jim Young is the Priest in Charge of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Fr. Young is a native of Tennessee and a 1996 graduate of Yale Divinity School. He has served several parishes in Louisiana, Texas and California. Most recently Jim served as chaplain in a joint Episcopal Lutheran Campus Ministry at Stanford University.
Jim lives in Salem with his wife Niki, who grew up on the coast in Coos Bay, and is now employed as the Director of the Center of Teaching and Learning at Western Oregon University in Monmouth. Niki has a Ph. D. in communication and enjoys teaching and working with the faculty. The Youngs have three children Andrew (10), Ben (9) and Chris (8). As a family, the Youngs enjoy science museums, the coast, and exploring.
